The BIG Sweep

Troop 217 supports the BIG Sweep each spring.  Scouts will be requesting pledges from you!  The BIG Sweep is a program sponsored by Volunteer Frederick .  The BIG Sweep brings citizens together to clean-up roadsides while raising money from sponsors who support county clean-up efforts.  Last year Scouts from Troop 217 picked up over 30 bags of trash and recyclables.  We think we found all of the parts to build a car (tires, fenders, and an old chevy water pump).

Troop 217 also sells popcorn in the fall.  A portion of the proceeds from each box goes toward funding the troop.
